Guide
Maintaining professional cleaning equipment
A few minutes of maintenance at the end of every shift extends the machine's life and keeps cleaning results consistent.
After each use
Vacuums
- Empty the container and check the bag or filter.
- Shake or clean the main filter; a clogged filter reduces suction power.
- After picking up liquids, rinse the tank and leave it open to dry.
Floor scrubbers
- Empty and rinse the recovery tank; do not leave dirty water in overnight.
- Clean the squeegee and check the rubber blades.
- Remove the brush or pad and rinse it.
- Charge the battery according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Sweepers
- Empty the debris hopper.
- Shake the dust filter (many models have an electric filter shaker).
- Remove string or tape wrapped around the brushes.
Periodically
- Check brushes and squeegee blades for wear and replace them in time.
- Check hoses and seals for cracks.
- Follow the service intervals in the operator manual.
When to call for service
A sudden drop in suction, leaks, unusual noises or error messages on the panel are signs that the machine should be checked by a technician. For Tennant machines, service can be requested from Tenrom (form in Romanian).
